The Spalding 74560, The "beast" Is A "beast"!

"The Beast", as the Spalding 74560 portable basketball system is also referred to, features a 60 inch glass backboard. The 1/4 inch thick, 60 inch backboard provides a 37% truer rebound than a backboard made of acrylic.The 4 point Z-arm board mount and the heavy duty steel frame with aluminum trim provides goal reinforcement and makes the backboard more stable.

The Beast has a Pro Image breakaway rim with heavy duty wrap around support and steel rams that make it great for dunking. The institutional style screw-jack lift allows you to easily adjust the height from 7.5 to 10 feet to adjust according to who is playing or with the growth of a young basketball star!

This portable basketball system will allow you to enjoy years of recreational basketball fun on your own turf with a tough system that will give you arena-quality play in your driveway. It has a four-strut pole/base mount that will allow for superior system rigidity. There are multiple wheels and castors that, along with the engaging handle, make it easy to move than most portable systems. To set the system up for play, just fill the 50 plus gallon base with water or sand for anchoring and you are ready to go!

I purchased the Spalding 74560 Portable Basketball System to replace a low cost portable system that only lasted five years. So far, it has been a spectacular purchase! Although many reviewers complain about the assembly, my 12 year old son and I put it all together (except for the two piece pole assembly which I needed a neighbor to help with... you do need two men for that!) in 3.5 hours. The key is to have a saw horse or something similar to attach the backboard to the pole assembly. The instructions were clear and concise, and the parts were all in clearly marked packages. The Beast is rock solid and gives the best play possible for a portable. We now have all the kids in the neighborhood coming to our house to shoot hoops!
