The Symbian C6 - Nokia's Latest Entry into the Cell Phone Market

Anyone scouring the market for smartphones (or anyone who is a Nokia fan) may want

to keep their eyes peeled for the latest additions to the Nokia family: three new phone models which are set to hit the shelves before the close of 2010, the names of which are the E7, the C7 and the C6. We'll tell you straight up that there's fundamentally no difference between these phones they just look a little dissimilar from one another and the cost reflects that (since it's totally worth paying an extra hundred bucks for a device that's a fraction of an inch larger, but hey, to each their own). We'll be taking a quick little look at the style called the C6, which is one of two novel smartphones being released in Nokia's CSeries.

This phone has all the same attributes and functions as the C7 (with the omission of the exact measurements), which are as follows:

- Stainless steel body

- 103.8 x 52.5 x 13.9 mm in size (or 4.04 x 2.06 x 0.54 in)

- 3.2-inch AMOLED display touch screen

- MicroSD support, up to 32 GB

- 8 MP camera with dual-led flash and 720p HD video abilities

- 8GB of storage with the potential to become 40 GB with microSD

- GPS with Ovi Maps

- Active noise cancellation for better voice call clarity

- 11 and a half hours of call time and a 17-day-long stand-by battery life

- Social networking support

- On-Demand Web TV

- Flash Lite 4.0, QT 4.6.3, Java MIDP 2.1, and Bluetooth 3.0

Yep, right down to that fine stainless-steel frame, this device is like the slightly premature identical twin brother of the Symbian C7 the only real difference between the two is the size, and perhaps the color choices. This is the more pocket- and wallet-friendly phone between the fresh CSeries releases, sporting an estimated price of 2 60 (or $337). This equals a difference of $93 compared to the C7, and $307 compared to the E7. While the cost is still quite significant for something so minuscule, this model is the most economical option out of the three designs.

And don't be fooled by any measurements you see listed onlinesure, 103.8 millimeters sounds like something really colossal, but you need to take into account that one millimeter is only 0.0393 inches. That being said, the Symbian C6 is only about four inches long and two inches wide. But you have to be impressed by how something so small is capable of so many functions, right? So, if you really, really want a cutting-edge Nokia smartphone that has exceptional functionality and lots of features, but that won't slaughter your finances too harshly, go with the Symbian C6.
