The Top 5 Mp3 Cd Players And How They Differ From The Average Mpc Cd Player
MP3 and MPC CD players are very different from one another
. Most people know that MP3s are the most popular format for music files. MPC, however, is entirely different. It stands for music production center, but used to be called MIDI, and is designed for playing/creating basic electronic sounds and mixing them.
So when it comes to playing music for general playability, MP3 is where it's at, and some MP3 players are CD players as well. One of the best of them (per user critique) is the Rio Volt SP250. It is said to have excellent sound quality for both MP3s and CDs considering how cheap it was as compared to the others of it's kind. On the downside, most of them had problems in their first year.
Just above the Rio Volt is the TDK Mojo 620, unique due to its ergonomic in-line remote and lyric-scrolling options. It also, unlike most other MP3/CD players, organizes your music alphabetically for you (which could be good or bad) and plays with excellent sound quality. It's not a good model for jogging, however, as it skips a lot (even with skip protection) and it really eats through batteries.
More popular than that is the iRiver iMP-150 ChromeX. Not only is it a cheaper model, but it can play nearly any music file type that some other models may not do so well. It's detachable remote and anti-skip function (certainly better than the TDK Mojo) make it great for a jog too. Being cheaper, though, it has a lower quality physical design, like a loose AC adapter.
The second best MP3/CD player by user review is the Panasonic SL-CT800. This is one of the most aesthetic so far with a very sleek, portable design. It also has one of the longest battery lives (along with being rechargeable) and a very in-depth LCD display of your music. However, it does not have play list support and the batteries it uses are expensive to replace if you have to. Also, it has no FM tuner, unlike most.
The number one best value among MP3/CD players is the Panasonic SL-J900. It's also the most unique for it's conversion between portable and static by detaching from the speaker base. It can play just about any file type, it comes with an inline remote with LCD display, and it's sleek. This doesn't mean that it's perfect, because it does have very fragile components.
The only thing that puts these 5 models at the top is popular voice. Some people may love them, and some may hate, it's just a grand majority that like. There's nothing that will say any particular model is or isn't for you, so it's best to see them for yourself, such as going to a store or even trying one out. If you buy online, it's wisest to only buy from sites with a return policy.
When it comes to music players, MP3/CD players are towards the bottom, because CDs are quickly being replaced and people are using MP3/CD players to make the transition. So the only reason to really have CDs anymore is if you happen to be a DJ, to which they would be more likely to buy mpc cd players anyway.
