The True Problem of Evil : The Infinite Possibility

The True Problem of Evil as I see it.....

___________________________________

I do not want to delve deep into the problem of Subjective Relativism, but this article assumes that Evil, and Good are relative terms as dictated by the constantly changing social standards of humanity. I will also be using catholicism as a basis for developing many of my ideas here.

In Catholicism it is believed that there is one God, the father, the almighty, the maker of heaven and earth. It is believed that he is "Good".

In Catholicism which is a largely dualistic religion it is also believed that there is a Devil, or Satan. Whom is Evil.

Both God and Satan are deemed to be Infinite in nature. If you cannot understand infinite, think of the universe, now realize that everything in the universe is finite, it has a beginning and and end. For something to be infinite it must not have a beginning nor an end. Technically at the level of infinity there is no such thing as a beginning or an end.

To strengthen is point, can you Add 2 to the number 2, just keep doing it, and tell me when your done. When you get tired of that, divide 2 by 2 and tell me when you finish.

Quickly I wish to state, I have mentioned Good and Evil multiple times, I also wish to clarify, when i talk of evil and good, I do not mean murder, sins, greed, as well for good i do not mean, charity and kindness.

It is my firm belief that those things are neither Good, nor Evil. I will now explain...

All of those ideas of good and evil and perceptions, they exist only in the realm of humanity, and as we know humanity is flawed and imperfect, and incapable of juding. So the question is, is there in fact a definition of Good and Evil that Transcends Perception, and i will also seek to change the names to something less determinate as Good and Evil.

First let us take a null approach to defining Good by defining Evil.

Evil is in its simplest form, the absence of Good.

What is Good.

Well, God is Good, God made the heavens and the earth (universe) . Now, i cant prove that this is good, and what im about to say lies in the realm of perception but,

would you not say that it is Good, that the universe was created. Imagine a reality where nothing exists, would you not say that is bad.

What I am trying to get at, in my most confusing writing, is that.

1. We know That 2 things that are infinite and contradictory cannot exist simultaneously.

Evil is the absence of Good, but if Good is Existence, then Evil cannot possibly be, for to say Evil is, is to say that existance is not.

2. If Evil is the realm where nothing is possible, then Good is the realm where everything is possible.

3. Evil's new definition now is "A realm in which nothing is possible"

4. Good is, "A realm where anything is possible"

5. So if, --- "God" - is - "A realm where anything is possible " - and - "God " - is - "Infinite" - then - "God" - may be termed - "The Infinite Possibility"

Conclusion and more explanation of personal views.

- I do not like to view God as some guy on a white cloud, looking down on me. To be more specific I do not attribute and conscious action to God, i believe our minds are incapable of comprehend what we even mean by God.

I look at the term "God" as a description of the origin. "I can conceive of that which nothing greater can be conceived" God in its infinite state, is the origin of the finite state.

We look at God as the beginning but that is only because God is Infinite, and thusly we can only be derived from him because we are finite.

Heres a test, try to disprove God, based on my definition, not by the definition of any other religion.

Can you conceive of something greater than the "Infinite Possibility" Even if you say "Evil" remember, that Evil is the realm where the infinite possibility does not exist, but we know that it exists. Therefore Evil does not exist.
