The statement I want to make

I've been thinking about what statement I want to make with what I wear. I like length in clothing, and I always find it striking when I see someone wearing an item of clothing that is longer or more voluminous than average. Tube top floor length dresses, thigh high boots, knee length scarves: anything that draws the eye to take in the full lenght of the body wearing it is impressive in some way.

Such accessories and style choices are not always sensible, of course. Floor length dresses are easy to trip on and we all know how Isadora Duncan met her fate wearing one of those long flowy scarves. (And if you don't know, click here.)

Overwhelming statements can be wonderful, but sometimes it's good to go halfway. If the thigh high boot seems a bit much, how about the UGG Raya? The heel immediately grabs attention, and the silhouette of the boot draws the eyes upward to acknowledge the rest of the leg.
