The Truth About Network Marketing, MLM
I've heard so many "get rich quick", "this is easy" comments when I started talking to people about network marketing (also known as MLM- multi level marketing). I have tried this before and it is NOT easy. You need to commit yourself to talking to everyone you see about your products and /or services.
You also need to be very focused on getting the job done. Most of the MLM's have a good to great support system- a "sponsor" or "upline" who checks in with you weekly, encourages you to attend training sessions, and helps you with your presentations at home meetings. Many of these businesses are now called home marketing businesses, but they just changed the terminology to reflect that the business meetings or presentations are done at someone's home.
It may sound as if I ma not in favor of these home marketing businesses, but I discovered that this concept works really well for many people. I am also surprised at the people that do this business full time- engineers, teachers, nurses, real estate brokers. All very successful before they started this business and now they are truly financially secure and have lots of time to be with their families.
What could be better than that? I also met lots of great people doing this type of business. If you are considering home marketing, please do some research and find one that has products or services you will use, because you WILL use them if you are going to sell them to others. One of the first home marketing business was Tupperware- sold only in homes in the beginning.

Technology (TV, telephone, internet, wireless)
Energy (gas and electric)
Food products
Beauty products
Jewelry
The list goes on
