One of the most important factors that lead to individuals attaining success is people. Most people succeed because there was someone who believed in that individuals dreams motivated the individual during the rough patches and shared the taste of success along with that individual. Success has no meaning without somebody to share it with, thus, forging relationships is an important act in ones life.

Since man is a social animal, he cannot lead a life of solitude cut away from the rest of humanity and in order to live with others, there must be a harmonious and peaceful co existence between an individual and the rest of the society. One of the best things about forging new relationships is that if one meets new people, one gets to exchange and form new ideas. Not all people are adept at handling relationships and forming new ones, but there must be an honest acceptance of the fact that there is a lack of interpersonal skill. In order to develop interpersonal skills, individuals must understand the reason for their shortcomings when it comes to forming relationships and then try to improve upon their problems.

It is only when a person begins to love himself that he forms the most important bond of his life. One must also learn to give unconditional love, not everybody is perfect and one must learn to accept the others with their faults and shortcomings. One must also learn to love people who come across as difficult. There are some people who are difficult to get along with, it is very important that people should learn to form a relationship with these people. People should learn to cultivate the values of truth, integrity and honesty because they are crucial when it comes to maintaining relationships. Another important element that is very crucial to the formation of relationships is commitment. Relationships are also important because one can draw strength from them during periods of crisis.
