The Wanderer: Part 13 of 73

Part 13 of 73
"What a pity," says Xaba. "What?" I ask. "The limits we constantly set for ourselves." "Other people do that for us," I say.
"No," says Xaba. "You also made your choice. When you made their nonsense your own, you made a choice." I don't really hear Xaba. There is silence between us. "Hooligans!" "Who?" he asks. "People, them," I say. "No, not other people - you, yourself. Those limitations were only set inside your head, they did not really exist. They were an illusion. You imagined it for too long, and then it became true, a reality for you. It was created - and you created it."
"It was such pointless nonsense and all that time I felt as though I was trapped in a jail," I snap back. "This is where our dreams are crushed - in the reality of other people's thinking. Their limitations become your limitations. "It is as if I had made my own world smaller," I continue. "The world of becoming the world of being. I had to turn to my true self, I needed to be able to do my own thing, I had to become. I had to do my thing so that I could cross borders, could surpass limitations. For me, there was more to this journey, Xaba. I just could not see it. What I am doing now is the right thing." "What?" asks Xaba. "To forge ahead, walk in front, that is me.
I sometimes have my doubts but at least there is energy, constructive energy, creativity and positive adrenaline. I was meant to lead, to direct or guide others. Deep inside, I always knew that. Maybe that is the only thing I really know now, but it is good enough for me. To walk in front."
