. It is not actually about the kind of water that you use but how much water gets left behind after you have done your laundry.
Any moisture or standing water that gets left behind in your washing machine can pose a grave threat to the health of the people around you. This moisture and water can be the grounds for mold, mildew, bacteria and other insects to thrive in. For example, any standing water can allow flies to grow which could, later on, be carriers of the dreaded malaria or dengue fever.
On the other hand, any moisture left behind can cause your tubs pain to crack. It could also serve as a breeding ground for mold. When this happens, all the people n your house are exposed to various respiratory ailments such as rhinitis, pneumonitis and bleeding lungs. Your health problems may start as a simple shortness of breath, dizziness and vomiting.
By selling the
washing machine odor produced, you can immediately know if your tub is a candidate for mold and mildew growth. A musty smell is, oftentimes, a sign that mold is already starting to build up inside your machine. In situations like this, you would need to start cleaning your washing machine and not wait for the smell to build up.
The first thing that you need to do would be to run a cycle of hot water with mild bleach. The bleach would surely kill any mold colony inside your washing machine. Once you have done this, you can then run another 3 to 4 cycles of hot water with either lemon juice or white vinegar. This would help take out any strong odor that might get left behind. Keep in mind that
washing machine odors can be brought about by a variety if reasons such as organic materials getting trapped in between ducts as well as mold spores being released.
Once you have done this, make sure that your wipe your washing machine dry in order to prevent mold from coming back. Make sure also that you clean all the filters of your washing machine so that your washing machine odors would be completely gone.
