If you are intending to visit the Costa del Sol at any point in the future, make sure that you arrange to spend a little time exploring the city of Malaga. Attraction 1 Picasso Museum
This is located in the house that this world renowned artist was born in and lived during the early part of his life. As you stroll around it you get a feel for who the man was and have the opportunity to get close up and personal with some of his finest works.
Attraction 2 Roman Theater
It is situated just below La Alcazaba in what is now considered to be the old part of Malaga and only a short walk from the port. The actual theatre was discovered in 1951 and measures 31 metres wide by 19 metres high. The theatre was used up until the 34d Century when the invasion of the Moors resulted in them using part of it to then construct La Alcazaba.
Attraction 3 La Alcazaba
This military fortress was constructed by the Moors on their arrival in the city of Malaga back in the 11th Century. It lies on top a hill that if you are willing to make the effort to walk up to explore it will offer you amazing views that look out over the town and the Mediterranean Sea. On arrival you will see that 2 of the 3 protective walls remain within which was housed more than 100 towers as well as a residential area that included three palaces.
