Cinnamon is from the bark of a small tree named Cinnamomum zeylanicum. It is found in India and some neighbouring countries.

Effective in the treatment of diabetes: - Only six grams of cinnamon daily in pill form helps to reduce blood glucose by 18 to 29 percent and does so very quickly. According to experts, a routine intake of 1 teaspoon of cinnamon i.e. one gram of cinnamon, helps in lowering blood sugar levels, type 2 diabetes and also triglyceride levels.

Warrior against Cancer: - Cinnamon helps in reducing the propagation ratio of lymphoma and leukemia cancer cells. Also, cinnamon is a very good source of fiber and calcium. With eradicating bile, fiber help in preventing the damage of colon cells and reducing the risk of colon cancer.

Cholesterol levels: - The calcium in cinnamon helps in removing bile salt from body, which results in the lowering of cholesterol.

Helpful in improving blood circulation: - the coumarin in cinnamon helps in blood circulation and preventing blood clots. However, people having blood-thinning or bleeding disorders should not consume cinnamon.

Helps in dental care: - Powdered cinnamon and honey collectively is the best mouth wash and keeps the mouth fresh throughout the day.
