If you are wondering if the red ring of death is real or not. Better believe it now. Because don't let yourself be victimized by it if ever you have your Xbox 360. Keep in mind that your Xbox 360 is like what? Around $200? Well, if you are seeing those red things light up, make sure that you turn it off or else, you are in for a trouble you don't want to mess with. Just turn it off if you want to keep that thing alive for some time. But as a gamer, you couldn't actually enjoy the things like Halo in just two hours. These games are meant for marathons!

So my experience goes like this. I was playing Halo, while all of a sudden, the Xbox RROD came up. I quickly dismissed it since nothing happened to my Xbox yet. But this day isn't like any other day. Today's my unluckiest day. So after seeing it light up, Xbox 360 went off just like that! As a reasonable consumer, I quickly gave Microsoft a ring. I notified them of what happened. They actually were good enough to ask me the details on what went wrong. But the sad part of the story was the fact that they were actually charging me with $110 for fixing my Xbox 360, not to mention their bill for the shipping.

So, I told them that I don't have enough money to pay for the Xbox 360. I am a college student and all my money is going to bills. So It took me sometime before I was able to send them my Xbox 360. After a few weeks of waiting, around 3-4 weeks exactly they gave my Xbox 360 back. At first, I really thought that they gave it a good try. My Xbox 360 was working well. But when it reached the 2nd week, it occurred again. The problem with the ring of death is there again!

So here's the reality. I have no cash, my Xbox 360 is not working again I have no choice but to ask my friend. He told me that there is a cheaper way to solve the Xbox 360's red ring of death problem. He told me that I could actually fix it using a screwdriver and 40 minutes of my time.

At first I was hesitant to go with the process. He told me that all I need to do is to look it up online and I can find the magic instructional video. When you are desperate, you will really do anything! So I actually gave it a try. After an hour with the screwdriver and the Xbox 360, I was actually able to fix it! With 5 months now since the last time I did the trick, the red ring of death is gone for good! So, for you guys looking for cheap solutions, trust me on this one.
