Most of us will think about the solvent inks used of large format printers like xaar, spectra, and Seiko heads. The whole ink system is for solvent as well from ink tube to cleaning method. But the problem for this type of ink is: The resolution of the printing is low up to 720 dpi only.

As we all know that the Flatbed printers are based on EPSON heads basically which means we can not use solvent ink on them due to its higher resolution. The flatbed printer ink should be: Workable with higher resolution, workable without pretreatment on the materials, UV resistant, human and environment friendly. Now we call it ECO DIE SOLVENT DIRECT ink.

The specialties of this ink are as following:

The flatbed printers are based on Epson which is not designed originally for ECO SOLVENT ink. And the components including the head, the ink system, cleaning system, etc are not for ECO Solvent ink either. ECO SOLVENT also has two disadvantages as SOLVENT ink.

1. Fast dry speed. When taken into the time of dry time for printing on materials, the printing result will be dry at the same time when the printers are working. But this will also cause head clogging as well. However, the EPSON will reduce the head clogging by its auto cleaning system.

2. It is still solvent. Even it is ECO Solvent; it still has causticity for the whole ink system. We have to choose the high level factories for the inks.About the Author:
