This is not gossip, it is a fact. Another interesting fact about Marbella is that it was a small village not so long ago and now it is one among the most preferred tourist spots not only in Spain, but also in Europe. Thanks to the unstinted effort of the government, this stunningly beautiful place Marbella has now been transformed into a tourist spot. The city has a long history dating back to the period of Greeks, Romans and Moors.

What makes a place popular amongst tourists is pleasant weather, beautiful beach or mountain, some places of interest like a palace or some historical places, museums, good hotels and casinos and luxurious villas to make the stay comfortable. Marbella has all these. It is a happy combination of all these requirements which has culminated into making Marbella a heaven for tourists.

Marbella is very well connected by road. There are many hotels and villas which offer a luxurious stay for tourists. The rentals in these villas and hotels are quite reasonable. There are many hotels, cafeterias and bars which serve the most delicious food at affordable rates. There are rows of shopping malls which sell among other items works of art and artifacts. Those who have a tendency to shop would certainly enjoy shopping.

Places of interest in Marbella are plenty. To name a few, the port called Puerto Banus is one of the most popular places of visit. The beautiful port with plenty of water sports facilities attracts lots of tourists. Crystal clear sea water bears testimony to how perfectly the port is maintained. Another place of visit is the Bonsai Park which is one among few in Europe. Interestingly, some plants grown here are as old as about 400 years! Some of the rarest species of plants from the world over can be seen in this park. The other park is called Constitutional Park. This park also has many species of plants from the world over. The park also has an auditorium where concerts and dramas are held regularly. There is a walking path which has rows of trees along its entire length. The constitutional park is lavishly illuminated.

Arroyo de La Park is another popular park. Although it is relatively small, it is located on the bed of the river and it presents a beautiful view of the surroundings.
