The tax free policies of the Dubai government and free economic zone have attracted the foreign investors to start their operations for the entire Middle East region. Aimed at providing quality education, Dubai has come up with the setting up of Knowledge Village which shelters more than 400 institutes in its clusters. The global culture of Dubai has motivated many leading educational institutions to open their premise in the region. Owned by TECOM investments, a subsidiary of the Dubai Holdings offers free economic zone for the education sectors and has also come up with the latest venture of Dubai International Academic city in the year 2007. The Academic city will accommodate the institutions of higher education.

Dubai Media City

Designed exclusively for the media activities, Dubai Media City is the hub for all the media operations across GCC and the Middle East regions. With more than 1300 companies registered in this free zone area, it aims at promoting the media facilities in the region. Some of the leading media organizations, advertising firms, news channels and other companies are located at the place marking their presence in media operations. It also has the headquarters of the international cricket governing council ICC.

Part of the Dubai Media city, Dubai Studio city aims at establishing hi tech digital movie studios and other production areas on the lines of Hollywood. Launched in the year 2007, the $4 billion project of Dubai Sports City is in the building stage and will be equipped by a huge array of sports facilities. The city is expected to be accomplished with apartments as well as others sports centre. This multi billion dollar is expected to cover an area of around 50,000,000 square feet. A multi purpose outdoor stadium will accommodate more than 60000 people in its arena with the stadium being used for Football, cricket and athletics.

Dubai has captured the gaze of the world with the developmental operations carried out in the region and has marked its presence on the international map.
