It was recently announced that Apple have had their best ever quarter in terms of

revenue and Mac shipments, releasing revenue figures of $15.7 billion for the last quarter. Apple smashed both their own and Wall Street estimates making over $3 billion in profit. That's a $6 billion growth in revenue and a solid 77 percent jump in profits when compared with the second quarter figures. For what? Because it's a Cheap Mobile Phone but has good quality? So how has Apple achieved these record breaking figures?! It's not too hard to imagine when we take in to account these four key factors:

Apple sold 3.47 million Macs during this quarter which again is another record, beating even the holiday seasons

Apple sold 3.2 million iPads in it's first ever quarter, nearly beating the record Mac sales. The iPhone brought in high sales as usual with 8.4 million being sold. It was a little less than the second quarters 8.75 million, this is most likely due to people putting off buying the 3GS to purchase instead the Apple iPhone 4.

Apple iPhone 4 again broke sales records and sold over 1.7 million in its first three days. Which CEO Steve Jobs heralded as the most successful product launch in Apple's history

As these figures suggest Apple can seem to do no wrong, but it begs the question, are we really surprised? Breaking records is just business as usual for the tech giant. With the Apple iPhone 4 bound to pick up even more momentum over the rest of the year and Steve Jobs' announcement of "amazing new products still to come" you can bet that these records won't be round for long!
