Things to Do in Sharm el Sheikh
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think about visiting Egypt
? If you are like most people, visions of the Pyramids and the Sphinx probably appear before your eyes. But there is more to Egypt than this, as you will see if you choose Sharm el Sheikh as the base for your holiday. Not everyone wants to spend their entire Egyptian holiday close to the ancient sights, and if you want a beach based break you will love what Sharm el Sheikh has to offer.
Firstly it benefits from a nice position on the coast, slotted in the space between Mount Sinai and the Red Sea. This means you can enjoy all the typical activities you would expect from a beach holiday. In fact, if water sports are your thing, you can't do much better for this anywhere else in the world.
Sharm el Sheikh has built up an enviable reputation for the delights it holds beneath the waves. Even if you don't like diving you can still enjoy being able to snorkel to see more than you would from the shore.
Another option for seeing life beneath the waves is to take a glass bottom boat tour. These are available to book when you get to Sharm el Sheikh, or alternatively you can arrange one before you leave home. Either way, they allow you to see some of the amazing sights and colourful fish that you won't see from the beach.
However, you shouldn't feel left out if you don't like the water and you want to stay on dry land. In fact, you will find lots of desert excursions available if you want a change from the beach. You can ride a camel if you really want the whole Egyptian experience!
Your closeness to Mount Sinai is worth thinking about too, because you will be able to take a trip there to see the sunrise at this world famous spot. Excursion prices are very reasonable and this is one trip you will be glad you made. Don't forget to take your camera though as you will want to ensure you have memories of the trip that you can look at over and over again.
Na'ama Bay is a beautiful shore front area to stay in and explore during your holiday as well. It offers sensational views, beautiful walks and much more besides. Since the area has largely been developed to cater for tourists, you shouldn't want for anything during your stay. From
Sharm el Sheikh restaurants to a wide variety of hotels and other types of accommodation, the area can give you everything you could want from an Egyptian holiday. What could be better than that?
