Did we notice lately that there are rampant attacks on other's race and religion lately? They are happening right under our noses especially in Malaysia? Our poor Prime Minister, Najib and his assistant Muhyiddin are going around the country promoting harmony amongst Malaysians with the 1Malaysia concept but all of these will go down the monsoon drain when there are people with the "Pain In The Butt" attitude. In Bahasa Melayu, we call them "Duri Dalam Daging" and when you translate it, means "Thorn in the Flesh".
Did these people forget that Malaysia, then Malaya, went through a painstaking hardship to have the peace and harmony that we have today? Or did they plain simply just don't simply give a damn? Or all they ever wanted was to be the very first time in their lives, from an opposition party, is a ruling party in Malaysia? Or do they want to be submitted to "Malaysian Books of Records" too? Maybe they should also attempt the Guinness World Book of Records too for their efforts. Imagine the havoc from their current propagandas.
Let's put the "Sodomy II" starring our CEO of the Opposition Party case aside as we leave the judgment of the "Movie" to the Honorable Judges within the Constitutions of Malaysia. Let's also put aside the "Haram" money case in Penang aside as the people had probably forgotten about it because the main stream media had probably forgotten about it too. This is probably also due to the fact that the ruling Government in Penang was ignorant enough to ignore such a blunder regarding each other's religion. Or are they just couldn't be bothered?
Let's look at a recent case; Tan Cheow Hong from Penang is blaming his ex-wife to converting to Islam and "Snatching" her own daughter from him. As a "Wife-Beater" husband as he is, he is using religion as the "yardstick" to get his daughter back. To my knowledge, I know that a little girl should need her mother more than her father. Imagine as a father, teaching your daughter how to put on those "baby pillows" when the time comes.
Without hesitation, our Malaysian Government "wannabe" party jumped on the bandwagon. Why not when religion and race are involved? This is their favorite recipe for success and towards realising their dreams of being listed in probably the Guinness World Book of Records by taking over the Malaysian Government in "style". Are we convinced on the way they are going to run the Government with this "style"? A style adopted by Sun Tzu in where he made two parties clash and he eventually came out as the leader of the both parties. But I don't remember in his book: "Sun Tzu's Art of War" stating that in order to win, we needed to make religions and races go loggerheads. Maybe I didn't fully understand the book.
Now, let's have a look at what Gooi Hsiao Leung from PKR (Parti Keadilan? Rakyat) had to say about this case. He is also the lawyer for Tan Cheow Hong and all of these are taken or copied/pasted from malaysiakini.com:
It's a disturbing trend, where a Muslim convert gets a court order to take her child from her non-Muslim spouse, says lawyer Gooi Hsiao Leung.
A worrying trend of child snatching has emerged in recent years, enabling a Muslim convert to 'seize' his or her child from a non-Muslim parent with help from different agencies.
Making this claim, Kedah PKR Youth vice-chairperson Gooi Hsiao Leung said the child is then converted to Islam without the non-Muslim parent's consent, leading to problems from the point of law.
"The Muslim parent is able toNONE do this because he or she manages to secure a Syariah Court order, which encroaches on the constitutional and civil law rights of the non-Muslim parent over his or her child," said Gooi.
He said this creates a constitutional problem because the rights of a non-Muslim parent are "subjugated" by the Syariah Court.
This forces a non-Muslim to submit to the authority of the Syariah Court when its jurisdiction can only apply to Muslims, he noted.
All of his statements are "smelling" religion and in this case, about the Islam religion definitely. I used to learn law too but about business law. My lecturer used to be a prominent lawyer and now still practicing law and is also a member of the Penang Government. I remember asking him once, "How to win a case as a lawyer?" and his answer was: "Find the weak link and normally human beings like the police, the people in the case or witnesses are the subjects that will be the weak links in the case. Human beings are not Supercomputers and will tend to forget. The credibility of the people involved can be questioned and therefore can be contradicted. This will win the Lawyer's case".
Personally, when I look at this case, it is a very straight forward case involving child custody and should be settled even in the lower constitutions of the Malaysian law and the "Credibility" of the people involved could easily be questioned. But our PKR lawyer had brought it to a level where it involves their favorite recipe: Religion and Race. This is where the public is easily fooled when it involves religion. Even the whole current Penang Government can make a blunder when it involves religion what so when it involves a "layman" in the streets. When it involves religion, all a person needs to do is just throw a question and even if the answer is correct, all he needs to do is disagree and the question will be just another question. The question will be left hanging without an answer even if there is. This is probably why the opposition guys just love to use this subject. They think that there is no definite answer.
Now, let's have a look at Fatimah Fong's reply to the press and even Tan Cheow Hong's lawyer also a person from the Government Wannabe party knows of his habits, still presses on this particular favourite subject. The title is "My Part of the Story" taken from her Facebook account:
I read with disgust regarding the Chinese Dailies and some other Dailies writing all the stories about me "snatching back" my child at her school. For your information, when I went to the school with the Court Order, it was almost time for school to dismiss and furthermore, school examinations had already ended. The ruckus started when parents went to the school to pick up their children.
Referring again to the allegations made by my ex-husband in the press, that our daughter was crying when she met me, is a lie. I have videos to prove it that she was the happiest child in the world at that time to be able to hug her mother after three years of separation. Most people will think that I am an irresponsible mother to leave her child for three years but nobody knew the trauma I went through all these years being his wife.
In year 2007, it was actually my daughter and I that left the house and not only me as alleged by Tan Cheow Hong. After about three months with my daughter residing in Johor Bahru, he came and was the real person who snatched away the little girl who was four years old. I could not do anything after that incident. All I could do was to plea for a safe release of my daughter. All I ever wanted for my child too is for her to be happy and while being in a violent "tug of war" with Tan Cheow Hong and as a man as he is, I just released my grasp.
Does anyone know about being with a physically abusive husband and what can a woman do to stop the continuous beatings? This is the fact that made me run.
I have found my peace after that ordeal but having my child with me will always be in my heart. I had worked myself up in the business world and now currently own my own company and with all the negative publicity, I admit it is taking a toll on it. It was also my current religion which is Islam that gave me the courage to carry on in life. I embraced Islam about two years ago but officially did it in August 2010 and not vice-versa as claimed by my ex-husband.
When I decided to embrace the Muslim faith, it was a love and hate situation at first when I suddenly noticed some non-Muslim people giving me the "side eye" and started avoiding me when they knew I was a Muslim. I wouldn't blame them for being ignorant towards the Muslim faith as they are not exposed to it. A person whom doesn't know will not know the welcome and warmness that I felt being a Muslim. It wasn't taking any opportunities on anyone as claimed by the lawyer from the other side. It was pure sincerity.
I feel sad and embarrassed for my Muslim friends when suddenly all the slurs are directed directly to our faith that we hold on to. At the same time, my hat goes off to them too when they have such patience when being slurred with the most foul language known to mankind.
Let's put religion matters aside in this case. As religion is not the factor for me taking back my child. It is pure love from a mother towards her child and I wouldn't deny a father's love for his child either. But why are the stories in the press pointing all the fingers towards me as if I am the guilty one? When I found out that the child is not staying with Tan Cheow Hong who is always busy and staying with his sisters instead, I thought to myself that my daughter was being thrown around like an orphan and it was time for me to act according to the Constitutions of the Law. Being a Muslim, it was only right for me to take my case to the Syariah Courts and under the Islamic Constitutions, an Interim Court Order was attained after that. When I met my daughter for the first time after all these years, the very first words were: "Mummy, I missed you" and we were hugging right in front of her teacher and classmates.
Looking at the news prints and blogs in the internet purely shows that most people are misinformed about what is actually happening and racial propagandas are being ignited by certain irresponsible political parties. These parties are slurring the good name of other religions in the name of reformation of the nation. Do we need such reformation in the first place? Why such religion bashing? Furthermore, as a father, will this man be "Jantan" or "Man" enough to face up to reality and settle it diplomatically? In my case, the answer is no.
The point here is, if I needed to face even the highest Constitutions of the Law in this country for the sake of my beloved daughter, I will definitely be there. I will not do so if my "testosterone hormones" are running riots in my soul just because all I wanted was to keep my sisters happy. I am more than happy to provide for her upbringing, shelter, love, care, education and all of a mother can give for the sake of her daughter in her lifetime. This is what a mother can and will do for her child.

For the sake of the nation and 1Malaysia, are we ready to forgo the peace and harmony that we are enjoying all this while? Just because there are certain parties in the country want to create a world record, are we ready to let it go and join in their ball game of religion bashing? Think again. I used to agree with this Opposition Party being starred by a 60++ year old actor. Nowadays, they are no longer relevant. They SHOULD NOT include RELIGION and RACE in their political propagandas and should be more interested in the Micro and Macro Economics of the nation. It's too lame. Next Please.
