1) Self discipline - You're your own boss if you work independently at home. Quite a few fine employees learn they aren't good bosses. Being a very good boss to oneself means being able to preserve your focus on the job at hand. A great copywriter cannot allow himself to become distracted by life around the house or on the Internet. Sometimes writing involves study which can easily be accomplished for the computer. Unfortunately you'll find a lot of opportunities to become distracted and if you are not working, you aren't earning.
2) Independence - The independence we look for can turn into loneliness for some. When you work at home there's more often than not nobody around to talk to. There are not any voices across the room to comfort you and keep you company. If you start emailing friends and family or calling or texting just to say hello, you are not working. If you're the type of person who needs to be close to other people, it may well be better for you to work in an office and not alone in the home.
3) Integrity - Whenever you work alone as a content writer you have nobody looking over your shoulder or checking your work. It might be tempting to "borrow" another person's material and incorporate it into your own articles. Employing and expanding on an idea you discover someplace can be fine, plagiarism is not. The important part of the phrase "original content" it the word original. Should you attempt to pass another person's work off as original, you will eventually be observed and that's one of the quickest ways to lose credibility and business. It's just not worth it.
