Three Ways to Treat Grey Hair
Sooner or later, everyone who does not go bald will have at least some grays
. There are essentially three ways to treat grey hair without having to shave your head. You either dye it, mlange it or accept it the way it is. The process you take depends on your own opinion as well as how much time and effort you are willing to spend to maintain your results.
1. Dye/Coloring Graying
1. There two type of dyes; the natural dye and the commercial dyes. Natural dyes are usually for temporary hair color for individuals who are sensitive to commercial dyes or simply don't want to make use of such product. These dyes are originally derived from henna and have been used for centuries. Henna is also known to make hair appear thicker. Depending on the proportion of the hair you want to cover, for instance, hair cover with less than 50 percent gray, temporary or semi-permanent color maybe satisfactory. A lot of formulas follow a simple process and can be carried out from the comfort of your home. It is usually preferable by choosing a color close to your natural shade than going for something totally different. These shades usually coat the hair shaft instead of penetrating it and it will either fade out gradually.
While for drastic graying, permanent dye is the best option. This can also be performed at home, the best results are achieved by consulting an expert, at least for the initial coloring you should settle for. The results for permanent dyes are just as the name states "PERMANENT". The dye must be re-applied as the hair grows out to prevent roots from revealing the real color of the hair.
2. Blending
Another method of covering gray is by gradually blending in the gray with the natural color. With the new progressive dyes, you can eventually blend the entire gray or leave some gray as you wish. These formulas work by accumulation of a substance which causes chemical reaction in the hair that leads to the disappearance of gray and a return to a color closer to the user`s natural shade. These coloring products usually contain lead acetate, a substance which has been banned in Canada and European Union as a possible carcinogen. It is advisable not to use this product with other chemical process, such as perms, due to possible harmful effects or reactions.
3. Embracing Your Situation It is possible to accept the process of going gray by not trying to cover up with dyes because sometimes coloring of graying does not appeal to some individuals. Grey is likely to sap the coloring from the face in people with light complexion but it is easier for women to correct that with makeup and brighter tones in clothing for both men and women. It's also important to highlight the shine as much as possible and eliminate yellowing. Special shampoos and glazes for graying can help to deal with those issues.
These are the three ways to treat grey hair.
