Time To Keep The Environment Clean

Co-existing with the animals, vegetation and ocean life is a serious responsibility

. I do believe that man is the most important in the food chain and we can't go over the top destroying jobs and homeland for man at the expense of one turtle. but on the other hand there has to be serious consequences for the wanton destruction of rain forests, pollution of streams and lakes and air quality. Pollutants in these areas take generations to complete the environmental clean up and restoration. This trend of a green agenda is a positive, earth, friendly one if not taken to extremes.

We can all inhabit planet earth peacefully and it begins with each of us doing with simple things. We just got back from spending 3 days down in beautiful Moab, Utah. We had the great privilege of hiking through the Fiery Furnace, a maze of slot canyons. Even though tens of thousands of people visit this area every year, it looks virtually untouched. There is no garbage, trampled vegetation or even noise pollution in the park. They ask that all hikers do so quietly and respectfully to ensure an enjoyable experience by everyone. I was very impressed with the job Moab National Park does of keeping the area as pristine as possible. I visited Yellowstone last year and around Old Faithful it almost had a Disneyland feel, too many buildings, too much commercialism for a National Park. While of course, it is still beautiful it didn't have the same natural feel that Moab did.

Environmental clean up is all of our responsibility. It just starts with little things, not putting paint in the sewer or land fill, picking up litter when at the parks and mountains, not leaving evidence of man when camping or hiking, recycling our waste and teaching our children to do the same. Become politically active when streams, lakes and the oceans are at risks. This is a world of beauty, lets keep it that way for our posterity! Environmental clean up is all of our responsibility.
