Survival in the present times has become difficult due to the rat race everywhere

. There is a lot of work around us and we often take up a lot of work on our shoulders. But not everyone is a multi tasker and we do have our limits. If you are given to do too much work to do, you will fail to accomplish them. You may complete them under pressure but the quality of your work will not be good.

Productivity does not signify quantity alone. It signifies quality to a great extent. It is better not to do any work rather than poor quality work. Keep in mind some points that will help you to increase productivity.

The steps to increase productivity:

Set a specific pace of work which you will follow: always try to keep in mind the things that you have to complete. Your work throughout the day does not always comprise of the work that you do as a part of your profession. There are several chores on your list that are time consuming. Allot a specific time within which you will complete paying your bills, attending to your groceries, replacing the sheets and accomplish other household work. These set of household work also contribute a great deal to your productivity.

Do work at a time: you need not do all the work at one go. Divide them into groups and try and complete one group of work at a time. The work should be divided in small parts and each part should be completed at a time. You can also combine easier tasks with harder ones. Your work will become much easier and it will get completed much faster. You will soon find out that your mistakes have also lessened than what it was before.

Get into action quickly: try to be as active as anything. Do not delay work, especially during emergencies. You may have to face emergencies youre your computer might crash down or your car might show signs of disturbances. Not only in emergency situations, you must always keep your priorities on the top of the list.

Take out time for yourself: take a break: this is as important as attending to work. Be confident. Do not panic all the time. Many people think about work all the time. Even while they are watching movies, they have work on their mind. If you continue to panic all the time, you will soon have an attack. This will not help you out in any way. But it will destroy time which you could have invested to work. You need to lead a balanced life. Taking a break from work, getting enough sleep being confident and happy, all increases productivity.

The 80 / 20 rule: this rule is followed by those who work in a smart way. it implies that if you give 20% inputs, you will get 80% output.
