It is best that while you are studying French in a classroom, start watching movies or read children's books so that you can find out how they really speak and what phrases are not used and the like. If you do not have access to these types of resources, you can go online and look for them and most of them are actually for free. You can also try and find someone that actually already knows how to speak French so that you can practice with them

Pronunciation is key to learning the French language because speaking in French requires that you pronounce each syllable correctly because one change in the accent or the stress of the word that you want to pronounce and everything especially the meaning of the phrase or word that you to say completely changes.
