Tooth whiteners are a great idea for people who have healthy teeth. People with senivtive teeth or gums should be very careful. Tooth whiteners can help to remove yellow tones from your teeth. Find out if teeth whitening is right for you. Here are a few you can try out for starters.

1)Tooth Whitener Toothpastes


Most toothpastes can help you remove the yellow on the suface because they contain abrasives. Tooth whitener toothpastes contain a little extra chemical agents that provide more effective and cleaner smile. Tooth whiteners toothpastes do not contain bleach instead they use carbamide peroxide or hydrogen peroxide that helps lighten the color deep in the tooth. Tooth whitener toothpastes can whiten your teeth color and have you felling great. Tooth whitener don't work so good for bad stains. The deep yellow requires something a little stronger.

2)Over-the-Counter Tooth whitener Strips and Gels

Whitening gels or peroxide-based gels work very similar to whitener toothpastes you brush it on your teeth. Direction call you to applie for twice a day for about for 2 weeks. You should see some results in a matter of a few days and final results should last for months.

It used just like mouthwash swish them around in your mouth for 60 seconds twice a day before brushing your teeth. However, don't exect quick result from this product.

4)Tray-Based Tooth Whiteners

Tray-based tooth whitener systems, can be purchased over-the-counter or from your dentist, involve filling a mouth guard-like tray with a gel whitening solution. Tray based tooth whiteners contains a peroxide-bleaching agent. You have to wear the tray for much longer period of time. Sometimes it is reccomded it wear for hours a day even during the night for up to 1 month and maybe even longer. Not my favorite choice. How ever it seems to get result in the long run.

5)In-Office Whitening

In-office bleaching provides the quickest way to whiten teeth. With in-office bleaching, the whitening product is applied directly to the teeth. These products can be used in combination with heat, a special light, and/or a laser. Results are seen in only one, 30- to 60-minute treatment. But to achieve dramatic results, several appointments are usually needed. However, with in-office bleaching, dramatic results can be seen after the first treatment. This type of whitening is the most expensive technique.


Always consider a teeth whitening kit that allows some customization of the mouthpiece. Some kits come with a mouthpiece that can be molded to some degree. These are better than others that come with a standard mouthpiece.
