Beginner bodybuilders and weightlifters often make the same mistakes that are costing them pounds of muscle
. However, it is not their fault. The information available to new bodybuilders is sad. Really the only sources are bodybuilding magazines which are actually just one big advertisement. Alright, now for the 3 biggest mistakes made my new bodybuilders and weightlifters.
Full Range of Motion
Many new bodybuilders have never been taught how to perform particular exercises and as a consequence don't perform the full range of motion. Not only can this be dangerous, but you are robbing yourself of gains by not putting maximum stress on the working muscle.
Not Keeping a Schedule
Keeping a regular schedule or routine for a bodybuilder is a must. Not knowing what muscle muscle groups you are going to train when you enter the gym is a recipe for a bad training session. Not only will it keep you organized, but it will also guarantee that you don't skip training body parts. Remember balance is key to creating a great physique.
Not Training Legs
Many new bodybuilders make the mistake to only train a select few body parts instead of training every major muscle group. The muscle group that gets left out of the most routines has to be legs. Everyone needs to train legs! Not only because it will help balance out your entire physique, but also because squats release the most growth hormone of any other exercise.
If you are new to the game of weight training, it can be hard because the lack of quality information out there. Don't make the mistakes listed above and you are well on your way to building a better body. Just remember that the key to building a better body starts with proper training, nutrition, and rest. Be consistent and you will see the results you desire.
