Hisaronu Bay: this area resembles the Turkey of twenty years ago; a smattering of small eateries and simple hotels dotted along quiet lanes. Windsurfers love the quiet waters and permanent breeze, and there are some more gloriously unspoilt beaches a short ride away.

Butterfly Valley: nestled between two colossal cliffs, butterfly valley is only accessible by boat except for a really rocky path only suitable for hardened trekkers. There is no electricity in the valley but you are allowed to camp, or you can stay in the local hamlet which offers bed and breakfast facilities.

Gemiler: this one is really close to the hideously over populated beach of Olu Deniz, yet its polar opposite. Ts quiet and scenic, and looks out over St Nicholas Island. There are some tiny little restaurants to grab some mezzes and beer, without getting snarled up in the tourist traps that are synonymous with Turkey.

Cirali loggerhead turtles come here to lay their eggs, and therefore Cirali is a protected area. Its dramatically beautiful but has thus far managed to avoid being part of the tourist trap that is the nearby beaches. Perfect for a family relax or couples get away.
