Corozal Town. This is one of those places that are hideaway paradises in the country. This, like many places in the country, is a beachfront town where the prices are low, with friendly townsfolk and be very near Mexico. This is the place to be.

Rural Cayo District. This is also one of the many bayside towns of Belize. This though is known for wide-open spaces, with cheap land, few bugs and friendly neighbors. One can opt to live off the land and grow oranges and other plants.

Sittee Point. This is best to live by the beach side as many properties are available for sale. This is a quiet and peaceful place for those romantic walks and intimate talks.

Ambergris Caye. This is the expat place to be in Belize. This is the most popular and most expensive place in the area. Thus if one is seeking to interact with other expats on a regular basis, then this is where you can hat your hang up on. One of the most popular ones lives in North Ambergris, which can only be accessed by foot.

Toledo District. This is the rather lower echelon living area for expats because of the mosquitoes and the incessant rain. Located on the far southern area of Belize, it does boast though of the cheapest land prices in the country. This together with the friendly neighborhood, it's not too hard to fall in love with the area.

Placencia Peninsula. Placencia, depending on the season, often goes into cycles of boom and bust periods. Nowadays though, the area is experiencing a redevelopment specifically for tourists and expats so if you choose to live in a tourist haven, this is the place to be.

Rural Orange Walk District. While the town center is not a good place to be, being in the outskirts really is the place to be in the district. The best places to live here is either on August Pine Ridge or near the lagoon. With the relative peace and solitude, this can be your paradise within inland Belize.

Remote Cayes. Belize is an archipelago with over 200 or more islands. If you have money to burn and want to experience nature at its best, buy your own island in Belize.
