The beaches of the French Riviera are not the only draw to this area

. Meandering through the open-air and covered markets is an itinerary must. In addition to the fresh produce, foods, flowers and merchandise for sale, visitors mingle with local residents in a celebration of the culture and lifestyle that is France.

Although there is a market downtown, the Toulon neighborhood of Le Mourillon is where the best market action occurs. Vendors, for all types of food and merchandise, set up in sections known as stalls to sell their goods. Antique lovers gather on Saturdays to feed their passion.
