Top Tips For Choosing The Perfect Perfume

The first thing to consider is where and when you will be wearing the fragrance

. It is a good idea to have a couple of perfumes to choose from. One which is quite light and fresh for during the day, and a stronger one for evening wear. A perfume with a strong smell can be quite overwhelming, so best to keep it for your nights out.

Fragrances tend to vary on how they smell on different people, so don't assume that if a perfume smells nice on someone else, it will necessarily smell the same on you. If in doubt, ask a friend to tell you how the perfume smells before making any purchases.

Consider the types of fragrances you like the smell of it could be vanilla, coconut, roses or many more. This can go a long way to helping you decide on the best perfumes to suit you, so check the ingredients and find out if they have the fragrances you would normally enjoy.

It may seem a little bold, but if you smell any perfumes you like on other people, why not ask them what it is? This saves you the hassle of having to try out lots of difference fragrances, as you already know you like it. (Dont forget it is still a good idea to get a friend to advise you on how it smells on you!)

When you try any perfumes, don't just spray it and decide straight away that you like or don't like it. The smell will take a while to become absorbed into your skin, so wait for at least 10 seconds before deciding if it is the one for you. Always spray it on your wrist it is more difficult to judge the power of the fragrance from sprayed from the bottle.

The size of your budget will determine which type of perfumes you choose to opt for. There is no need to spend a fortune on your fragrances, as you can find a lot of great, nicely priced perfumes if you shop around. No matter how much or little you have to spend, you will be able to find fragrances to suit.
