1. Meditate while you are bathing. Your body will naturally relax while bathing in
the warm water. Help the relaxation along by taking deep breaths and practicing meditative techniques.
2. Facemasks are great during baths. You can find amazing facemasks at many bath and body stores. Another good option is making your own facemask from ingredients you already have.
Well-lit Room: Instead of using soft lighting try having a brighter room. We are so use to having darkness and candles that it can be revitalizing to try something completely different. For a change in pace, try opening your blinds to let in a little sun and enjoy a well-lit bath for a change.
4. Take a quick shower before the bath. I know many friends who don't like baths simply because they feel they are sitting in dirty water. Taking a shower ahead of time will give you the peace of mind that you need to really enjoy your bath.
5. Add bath and body products to the water. Bath and body products like bubble bath or bath salt can really make your bath special. A lot of the bath and body products even come in small testing sizes so you can test them out before purchasing a big bottle of it.
6. Schedule your baths. You won't really be able to enjoy a relaxing bath if you take it right at the kid's bedtime. Likewise, if you know you have a deadline with work schedule your bath time for after all your work is completed.
Sleep aid: Baths can help with insomnia. If you are having a hard time getting to sleep try a nice, warm, relaxing bath. Lavender bath and body products are great for helping getting you calm and ready for bed.
Remember Weekends: Weekends are a great time to take baths. They revitalize you after a long week of work. They also calm you down so you are ready to go back to work when the weekend is over.
