Torrance senior living residents are fortunate to reside in the city housing the Del Amo Fashion Center, one of America's top three largest malls. Also nearby is the South Bay Galleria. For a more unique shopping and entertainment experience, your loved one will enjoy a visit to Alpine Village. This European-themed complex hosts its own Oktoberfest each year. In addition, the Torrance Farmers' Market is held every Tuesday and Saturday morning.
Torrance Activities
The Torrance Historical Society Museum, housed in an old library, sheds light on the city's past. To view performances both classical and modern, Torrance assisted living residents are able to catch a show at one of two stages, the Torrance Cultural Arts Center or South Bay Center for the Arts, at El Camino College.
Seniors in Torrance have plenty of opportunities to socialize and stay active. The main location for fun in the city is the Bartlett Senior Citizens Center, but Torrance is also home to the Herma Tillim Senior Citizens Center, the Walteria Park Senior Citizens Program and the Recreation Senior Citizens Program.

Torrance Medical Facilities
There are three quality medical facilities available to Torrance senior living residents. LAC/Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and Providence Little Company of Mary Hospital both have long-standing histories of service to the community.
Torrance Memorial Medical Center provides free transportation for patients living within a 10-mile radius. This hospital also runs the ADVANTAGE program, which is a free network of health-related resources for people 50 and over.
Torrance Transportation
Torrance Community Transit provides bus service throughout the South Bay area and to Los Angeles. Their Senior Taxi and Dial-A-Taxi programs allow affordable transportation for the elderly and disabled. L.A. County's Access service is another paratransit option for Torrance assisted living residents.
