Toss A Party Using Some Good Old Fashion Hippie Party Supplies

During the late 60's and early 70's was the greatest time for the hippie era

, but the ideas and spirit still live on today. Create a hippie atmosphere by making easy homemade hippie party decorations and hippies party supplies for all old and young hippies to love.

Love Bus: Replicating what was affectionately known as the Love Bus from the 60's can be done with some sheets of poster board to get started. To begin, place the sheets of poster board or banner paper flat on a surface. Draw the Love Bus using pencil first (use an existing picture of the Love Bus). Once the Love Bus is drawn on the sheets of poster board or banner paper color in using paints with various size brushes for finer details.

Decorating the Love Bus might include the use of paint, but there are other choices. Need more ideas on how to create the Love Bus, consider using construction paper. Draw the Love Bus on a large sheet of paper and use the construction paper to fill in the colors of the Love Bus. Once the first layer of the Love Bus is applied then add decorative symbols such as doves, peace signs, rainbows, suns, flowers, and anything else that resembles harmony and peace. Combine everything together using tape, glue sticks or pushpins, even staples.

Boxes, such as cardboard ones placed together can quickly be turned into Love Bus as well. Line up the boxes and tape together using masking tape. Draw the love bus on the side, back, and front of the cardboard boxes and paint it. For large cardboard boxes, cut out windows so children can sit inside and see out.

Flower Power Banners: Banners could be hung from the wall to create the hippie style setting being sought. Cut out 60s flowers from construction paper and tie together using string by punching holes in the corners of the flowers. Use an assortment of pastel colors such as reds, oranges, greens, blues, and purples. On the flowers add welcome greetings such Outta Sight, Groovy, and Peace Love & Unity. Print out Psychedelic images inside the lettering and apply it to the flowers.

Additional decorations might com come in the from of handmade tissue flowers. For an additional fun activity, fellow hippies can make the homemade tissue flowers during the party.

Children who want a colorful, fun party will love being a hippie for a day with his or her friends and enjoying hippies party supplies. Love, peace, and all around goodness will fill the air at the Hippie theme party.
