Toyota Etios finally launching on 1st December'10

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (KTM) has finally confirmed that the much awaited Toyota Etios would be officially launched on 1st December in Bangalore

. Toyota would be launching the car in both Sedan and hatchback frames however, as far as the speculations go, the sedan is expected to precede the launch of hatch. Toyota Etios hatchback and Sedan, popularly termed as Etios twins would be initially launched in Petrol versions only. However, the Diesel version would be following soon after. The madness amongst the Indian buyers have been unprecedented as seen in the case of Toyota Etios and the official launch date is sure to soothe the desperate sentiments of the Indian buyers. The bookings for the car would be opening anytime during December, while the car would roll out to the company showrooms in the month of January. The exact pricing of the car has not been disclosed officially, however it is speculated that the hatch would be shelved in the range of 4-5 Lacs, while the sedan would be priced in the bracket of 7-9 Lacs. Toyota Etios would be first launched in India and exports may follow thereafter. The car is targeted towards the masses in India and is sure to give a tough run for money to its competitors in the respective segments. Toyota Etios hatchback and sedan models were displayed at the Delhi Auto Expo 2010, which received a tremendous response in the expo itself. The car is known to be a People's car and has encapsulated mostly domestic components making it affordable for the average Indian buyer. Toyota Motors seems to be very particular of their brand image and the company is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the car is a huge success in the Indian market. Senior officials of the company have quoted that Toyota Etios would be the smallest and the only small to be launched by the company which has created immense hullabaloo amidst car buyers and enthusiasts to witness what the car has to offer. The company seems to be going through pre-launch jitters and is ensuring that the launch is a grand success. Toyota claims the car would be the pride of India and thus have roped in A.R Rahman, the music maestro and a living legend as the brand ambassador of the car.
