Unauthorised cars will be towed away under the CPZ (Controlled Parking Zone) which is designed to stop anyone other than residents and their visitors from parking in local roads.

Before and after the match or event, Whitton and Rugby Roads will be closed so that pedestrian traffic can be cleared. You can expect major delays exiting from the stadium car parks.

So what to do? Clever home owners have a great scheme you can access. They rent out their driveways and garage space for around 10 to 20 pounds per event. What a great idea. Parking on privately owned land is not restricted. You can find a parking space within a short walking distance to the Stadium, and book it on-line. The property owners give you details of the distance from their residence to the Stadium, and if there is any security (like gates or CCTV). You can also be assured that you have unfettered access to your vehicle, so that you can leave quickly at the end of the event that you have attended. It should make for a much speedier exit from the area. They also detail distances to motorways. Some give you information about local pubs en route to the Stadium.

If you drive a large vehicle, such as a minibus, limousine or transit van, you can probably find a driveway suitable.

Perhaps you live near Twickenham and would like to make some extra money by renting out your driveway or car space. If you are within easy walking distance people would be only too glad to pay you to use your car space if it is available.
