The cost of transporting the pipes could increase with the additional weight of the cargo so it is important not to add more weight to the pipes. The use of the end cap is very advantageous for both the pipe manufacturer and the client as well.

The end cap has different types such as the tapered end cap which is a newer design. This type of end cap has more flexibility in usage since it can be used in pipes of different diameters. Another type is the threaded end cap which is used in pipes with a specific diameter.
