Unhealthy Scots Advisory

A new plan was unveiled recently by the SNP ministers advising unhealthy Scots to

get fit by vacuuming or dancing around the house to some music that they love. This is considered as one Active Nation Campaign that uses the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games as an inspiration and a motivator n increasing the amount of exercise that the Scottish people do. The advisory suggests unfit Scots and everybody else to start with everyday activities such as walking upstairs doing house chores and dancing before doing something strenuous. This is just one way of the Scots in tackling the obesity crisis in the United Kingdom.

The ministers have warned the Scots that if no action will be taken today, 40 percent of the population will be obese by the year 2030. This will make the epidemic to cost up to 3 billion each year to tackle. The government believes that cutting the Scots calorie intake would not be enough and more exercise should be done in order to win this battle. In accordance to this, the Scottish government has launched a new website, www.ouractivenation.co.uk that aims to give people ideas on how they can be actively fit.

The campaign is about getting active, having fun and feeling good.

It aims to energise and motivate all Scots to increase their physical activity in the run up to the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and beyond.

The website states getting fit means Scots changing their daily routine to become more active, not running a marathon or turning into someone youre not.

Adults should aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise at least five days every week.

The government states that Active Nation will encourage more people to increase their activity levels by making small changes that will make a big difference in their life. That will be the Scottish legacy that should be proud of.
