Unlock Any Lg Phoenix

The LG Phoenix was launched in April 2011 as an entry-level smartphone for the AT&T network

. It is the exact same cell phone as the LG Thrive, except that it also provides tethering/hotspot capabilities, different contract choices, and a different color. The phone can operate on 2G networks (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) as well as 3G networks (HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100).

A few major features on this phone include a 600 MHz ARM 11 cpu, Adreno 200 Graphics processing unit, Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset, 160 MB of built in storage space (external microSD card slot that can support up to 32 Gigabytes of extra storage). It measures 114 x 59 x 13 mm, weighs 91 grams, comes with a 3.2 inch (~180 ppi pixel density) TFT capacitive touchscreen with 256K colors, a 3.15 Mp autofocus digital camera with 2048x1536 pixels, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v2.1, Gps, and runs on the Android v2.2 Froyo Operating-system.

If you bought this cellphone and decided to switch carrier, or perhaps you're vacationing and would like to use the phone with a different simcard, you'll have to get it unlocked. If you do not unlock it, a warning message will be displayed on the cell phone the moment you put in a new simcard.

Detailed below are the instructions you will need so that you can unlock your LG Phoenix:

1. Place a non-accepted simcard in to your phone (a simcard that is not from the original service provider).

2. Power on the phone.

3. Top of the phone will display "phone is sim network locked". Move the lock icon to right, which will bring you to the unlock code screen.

4. The phone will show "Sim network unlock PIN. Unlock attempt 1 of 10". This means you have 10 tries to input a correct unlock code.

5. Type in your unlock code. If you dont have an unlock code, have a look at the bottom of this article for instructions on where to get one.

6. Your phone is now unlocked.

As soon as your cell phone unlock code has been entered and accepted, your phone will be unlocked. Then you can pop in a sim card from any other carrier and the cell phone should automatically pick-up the network. Sometimes you may have to adjust a few configurations on the phone (email and other web affiliated services) by pointing them to your new carrier.
