Update Your Cardigan Collection This Season

Once upon a time when people thought of a womens cardigan they conjured up an image of a button up sweater that neatly went up to the neck

. Those who were a bit more risque might have chosen a cardigan that had a v-shape at the neck, but these are the cardigans of your grandmother's generation, because now there are a lot more styles and trends that make wearing a cardigan fresh and fun.

This allows you to have some fun with the normal style that still confines to work standards but allows you to show a bit more of your fun side. For instance, you may want to think about looking at the womens cardigan styles that have an overlay, which makes them look a bit like the old fifties styles of Marilyn Monroe and Jackie Kennedy. Even more so, they have necked collars that are quite flattering for those that have a strong neckline.

From loud reds and oranges to soft pinks, purples, and blue; colour can be a great way to make a statement with your clothing choice. Toss in a belt that complements the cardigan and you will have an outfit that will catch everyone's eyes and leave them thinking just how great your fashion sense really is.
