A gentle non-aggressive approach which seeks to find common interests and mutual friendships is the best way to attract interest in your Internet marketing promotion..

People cannot be forced to agree with us or to follow us but it is possible to lead them with the correct approach. Indeed being forceful and aggressive can have the very opposite effect.

Many, many years ago Lincoln, on the subject of winning others to your cause said, "first convince him that you are his sincere friend. Therein is a drop of honey that catches his heart"

If you can appeal to the common ground that already exists between you, then you will find it easier to win them over.

When you are looking for a particular result form another, begin in a charming and friendly manner. Compliment them; look for positives in the situation. If your approach is aggressive it is unlikely to win them over.

I know from my experience dealing with my two small children that I can win them over far easier by using praise and incentives than by shouting and insisting. I am firmly convinced that they dont actually hear me if I raise my voice!

I find that if I start off the day raising my voice to them, the day continues like that, proving that it is not an effective parenting tool at all.

My friend's twenty one year old told her recently that he actually never heard a word she said when she raised her voice to him!

So remember when embarking on your on your Internet marketing promotion, the 'carrot' is much better than the 'stick'
