Use the Correct Professional Comb for your Hair- Some Notes
Combs and Brushes are styling devices used to style up the hair. But most of the people do not know the difference between a comb and a brush. People consider both as the same and consider both to have the same function. But actually both the devices are different from each other and meant to perform different functions. Brushes are meant to perform more complicated tasks while a comb is used to perform simple tasks. Brushes and combs are of many types. They differ in style, shape, size and their functions. The key lies in choosing the right one suited for the action to be performed. The various types of combs and brushes are explained below.
Tooth Comb
This is the most commonly used type of comb. They are flat, straight and thin. Hence it can be carried easily in the pocket or purse. It is usually used by men as their hair style is simple. The thickness and distance between teeth of the comb varies according to the use. Thick hair needs comb with wide teeth and thin hair needs comb with narrow teeth. It is used to create simple hair styles. It can be used to comb wet hair to normal hair styles. They can be used on simple, straight and short hair types.
Tail Comb
They are commonly referred to as combs. It can be used along with a hair dryer. They tail acts as a separator between the dryer and the hair. It also helps in meeting with the hair bun properly.
Paddle Hair Brush
It is used for straight and short hair styles. They come with rubber handle and wide body for enhanced handling and grip. It helps to keep the hair straight and properly managed.
Round Hair Brush
It is used for creating wavy or curly design to the hair. The diameter of the brush varies according to the type of curl required. For larger curls brush with larger diameters are used and for obtaining tighter curls, brush with small diameter is used. Hair is wrapped around the brush and then pulled downwards. They are best suited for straight hair and curly hair. They can very well be used on short hair too.
Vent Hair Brush
These are hair brushes that have an empty barrel in the middle. They are usually air vents. They help in drying the hair effectively. They are used alongside with hair dryers so that the hair drying process speeds up. These are normally round in design and shape.
