. Most of the people think that the blinds serve only one purpose that is similar to that of a curtain. In other words people believe that blinds are only used to cover the windows of the house and control the amount of light entering the room, and to control the amount of heat flowing out of the room in winter, and to control the amount of heat coming in the room. True these are the main functions of the blinds; however, there are other function too that once can perform by using these blinds.

Firstly; these blinds can be used to divide a large room in to smaller rooms, that is one wouldn't have to install walls to divide the room in to small portion. The blinds can do that job effectively and in the process each divided portion would have complete privacy and no one can see in to another section. Blinds truly are an affordable and practical way to split a large room into smaller living quarters. In addition to all this, once there is a need to restore the size of the room, then the blinds could be simply lifted upwards and the room will be without any partition. Secondly; blinds can be used as an effective way to hide away unsightly shelves and storage rooms, which would damage the view of the room otherwise, if left uncovered. If one does the task of using blinds for this purpose, he would save himself the high cost of the doors that he would have to install instead of these blinds. Roller blinds are particularly suited to this purpose as with the vibrant and colorful designs available on the market today.

Thirdly; the blinds are used to cover the windows and prevent the light from happening, people complain that the blinds do not entirely block the light, but the new black colored blinds completely blocks the light thus darkening the room instantly. Other than that the blinds are used to control the temperature of the room, either by allowing the air to flow thorough the room and the window or by blocking it. Here again roller or roman blinds are the best choice for this kind of job. Fourthly; there is always a question as to which blind could be installed in the high moisture area, so for that there are aluminum and plastic blinds which are ideal for this job. They cover the window completely thus ensuring privacy, moreover these blinds are can last very long.

Sixthly; blinds are the perfect accompaniment in a spare room or office. The reason is that these rooms remain empty for quite long and when curtains are drawn the room feels cold and dark. With blinds this situation is negated as the window in the room is always covered and hence more heat is kept in. seventhly; Cleaning blinds is a much simpler job than cleaning the curtains, which have to removed and washed to clean them properly, however, with the blinds only a damp cloth or duster that can fit between the slats and remove any dirt is needed.
