No campaign is useless because generally you are going to make some sales from the campaign. There are always some sales that stem from a marketing campaign. In most cases you can at least break even with your marketing campaign. Granted this may occur over a few months but at least you recoup your cost as well as determine the outcome of your marketing efforts.
CRM software is a powerful tool when it comes to customer relationship management but as you can see it can also allow you to target and track your marketing efforts.
