Using Spending Incentives For Increasing Sales

In owning a business you may think that everything that can be done is being done to assist in increasing the sales and increasing your business

. There are many people who own businesses and think that building it means you have to bring in new customers but that's only part of the solution.

Building a business also means cultivating more sales from those customers that are already coming through the door and getting them to spend more each time they come in. A lot of businesses stimulate sales but offering discounts or coupons that encourage customers to save money if they spend at least $50 and to save even more if they spend over $100. This can be a good way to motivate your customers to spend more money.

An additional great method for having your customers spend more money is to offer up some shopping incentives or gifts that they will recieve if they spend more during their visit. If you have sales people who are doing their promotions job in the right way they will be telling the customer who is spending $40 dollars that if they spend $10 more then they will recieve some amazing free item. Generally most people have passed up something and once they know about the ten more dollars they will go back and grab that item.

Getting your staff to up sell when there is a reward in it for the customer is a lot easier than just getting them to cross promote items for the store's benefit. You will find that your employees feel as if they are doing a customer a disservice by not telling them that they are so close to getting that free item. They will feel obligated to let the customer know and this will help to increase sales and will make employees feel like they are not only helping out the store but the customers as well.

Most store fronts have employees with limited sales experience and therefore tend to struggle when they are looking to increase sales within the store. Using promotional items can be the best ways to put your employees into selling mode as it is easier for them to use free gifts to help increase sales than it is to do it on their own. Offering logo imprinted items as incentives can also help improve your advertising and brand recognition so that more people than ever have the opportunity to learn about your store.
