Utilizing Your Strengths and Weaknesses in the Workplace
I don't know about you but for years I had no idea what my strengths and weaknesses were. When I did discover what they were it made all the difference in the world. How I did business, how I showed up in my relationships and how I functioned at work all changed.
For example there were many things that I excelled at in my business. There were also many things that I didn't do so well - knowing that I decided to make some changes. I began spending a lot more time and focus on doing the things that I was really good at. I found that the things that I was strong in were things that I enjoyed doing - things that I was more passionate about.
This was my biggest introduction to delegation something that scared me to death. Its just one of those things when you own a business you don't feel anyone can do it like you can. I would rather do it myself and struggle through it rather than let someone else do it was my motto.

There is a time when you need to let go. It isn't always easy in fact it can be hard first of all to become aware of your weaknesses and then admitting to them. There are strengths and weaknesses in all of us in both our life and our workplace. Weaknesses don't make you weak any more than failing makes you a failure. These are just beliefs which are a product of your conditioning. Accepting that and loving who you are as a whole will allow you to become open to them. They will become your limitations if you let them.
Your strengths will bring you satisfaction, they will motivate you and keep you engaged and focused on what you are doing. You will find that your strengths will bring you the most success with the least effort. Any time we enjoy what we are doing it becomes less like work.
Your weaknesses on the other hand are things that usually frustrate you. This is where you start to procrastinate on things. At some point you will need to take care of those things or delegate them to someone else. The weaknesses that you have are someone else's strengths the same as your strengths are someone else's weakness.
Become aware of what they are. How can you use them to create better results? How can you utilize the strengths of others on your team or delegate to an outside source?
Once you know what they are, work with them. Learn to maximize your strengths and minimize your weaknesses. Using your team's strength's will also instill in them more confidence and a feeling of greatness which will only benefit your business in the long run. The more important you can make your team feel the more productive they will be.
