I had the most common complaint any working person could have
, I thought I was over worked and needed a break to get away from it all. People usually think having a job at a large financial institution means life couldnt be any better as your constantly raking in the moolah. Though if you actually work at a financial institution you will know what its all about. Long hours of staring at excel sheets and accounts on your computer screen makes up most of it, and its one of the most monotonous jobs around. It had been a while since I had been out of town and work was really getting to me. My friend Aditya called me from Mumbai, he was coming down for a week and had planned an entire weekend getaway for which he wanted me to join him. It was as though God was listening to my complaints and sent Aditya to help get me out of the rut I was stuck in.
I barely got much work done on Friday as all I could think about was my weekend ahead as we had planned to leave once I got done with work on Friday. I left the office at around 5pm and stopped to pick up Aditya on the way. The start of the journey was horrible as we were one of the thousands of office goers going back home and the amount of traffic was nerve racking. All the bridges and flyovers that had been made in order to control the traffic were of no use as it didnt matter if you took the flyover or not, you were stuck in a massive traffic jam. After a lot of patience and time we finally got past Gurgaon. The massive glass DLF building eventually made way for smaller one or two storey building which meant we were out of the city and on the way to Sohna, which was our destination. The wide highway type roads turned into narrow, bumpy unfinished roads which were quite a challenge to drive on. The moonlight and our headlights helped us navigate our way through the narrow roads. After an hour we reached Sohna and all I was thinking about was just relaxing and doing nothing productive apart from taking it easy the entire weekend. I had driven to Sohna and that was all the work I was going to be doing until I got back to the office on Monday.
My Ritz performance was brilliant and much better than I thought it would be considering the horrid state of the roads. After this drive I would regard it to be the best small car in India in its price range, and I would strongly recommend this car to anybody who has any doubts about buying it.
