Vick Returns To Atlanta Where It All Began

Just as fast as Vick rose to fame after being selected by the Falcons first overall

in the 2001 NFL draft out of Virginia Tech University it went an away. Vick at one time was one of the most Famous and praised athletes in the world until he went to prison for running an illegal dog-fighting ring, and even helped train his own dogs which fought in events under the name Bad Newz Kennel.

Once the story leaked it seemed as though Vick was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, until lifelong friends confessed that he helped bank roll and kill the dogs involved right on his own property. Before you could blink an eye he went from role model to one of the most hated people in the country. Even all the accolades he achieved on the field could not overshadow his sins off the field.

Even though Vick has served his time in jail and tried to make amends for his past transgressions he is still seen in the eyes of many as a villain. Even though Vick has received slight criticism when he arrives to visiting arenas with his new team the Philadelphia Eagles nothing is going to be as emotional and meaningful as greeting he will receive this Sunday when he heads to Atlanta to face of against his former team on his old stomping ground. While he may receive some cheers from his few devoted fans that have stuck with him, there is a greater chance he will receive a lot of boos and see negative signs from the same fans that once loved him.

While Vick will not be starting the game given he is listed as the 3rd string quarterback behind future hall of famer Donovan Mcnabb, and the eagles future franchise quarterback Kevin Kolb. Vick will definitely play in the game whether its to run the ball when the eagles need a couple of yards for a first down, or to show the world that he still also has a canon for an arm.

All Vick can do is try to continue and prove to the world that he is a changed man who no longer takes his god given ability for granted, and use his life lessons to show the younger generation where doing the wrong thing in life can lead you.
