Vision Techniques Becomes A Finalist for Prestigious Vehicle Safety Award
Blackburn-based Vision Techniques was this month a finalist for one of the most prestigious awards in Britain for vehicle safety.
The company, which supplies and installs reversing cameras and other vehicle safety equipment throughout the UK, was nominated for Health and Safety Award at the Chartered Institution of Waste Management (CIWM) Awards.
Products for which Vision Techniques was nominated includes Banksman Radar, reversing cameras, Banksman Auto Braking, Zonesafe and Traffic Alerts
Along with a local council, Vision Techniques was a joint runner-up.
Veolia Enviromental Services, a multinational waste management company based in the UK, was the winner for the Health and Safety Award.
Michael Hanson, Managing Director at Vision Techniques, said: "We were delighted be finalists for such a prestigious award. It clearly shows that our products are at the forefront of vehicle safety."
The award ceremony, which was held at London's Marriot Grosvenor Square, was a huge event with over one thousand people attending.
Among the crowd were writers from specialist magazines. BBC broadcast journalist Kate Silverton presented the award. There were 35 different finalists from across 11 categories.
