Ed O'Neill is probably best remembered for his role as Al Bundy on the television series Married With Children, which aired from 1987-1997. Similarly to Modern Family, this show told the story of a dysfunctional family, which O'Neill plays the head of. As Al Bundy, O'Neill can never seem to get a break and has wound up being a women's shoe salesman, a job he considers unattractive and unrewarding. In the popular 1994 film, Little Giants, O'Neill stars as a Heisman trophy winner, former football star and car dealership owner, who is coaching a pee-wee football team. He's a competitive coach that only wants the best of the best on his team, but he cuts his niece from the team because she's a girl, even though she's the best player in town. She goes on to inspire her dad (O'Neill's brother), played by the funny Rick Moranis, to start a rival football team full of the town's misfits. Moranis and O'Neill set up a playoff game between their two teams to determine if the city really needs two pee-wee teams. If O'Neill's team is able to ruthlessly win over Moranis' team, the town will only have one team. The two brothers decide to raise the stakes of the game even further by making a bet. If O'Neill's team wins, he'll get the gas station that Moranis owns, and if Moranis' team wins, he'll get the car dealership that O'Neill owns. Although O'Neill has only a minor role in 1992's Wayne's World, this film is so hilarious that it is a must-see. In the film, O'Neill has a small part where he plays the manager of Stan Mitka's Donut shop. His character seems to have an odd history with some violent spurts that he briefly mentions while waiting on his donut customers. O'Neill's character has plenty of awkwardly funny interactions with the movie's main stars, Mike Myers and Dana Carvey, who star as two young men who run a small tv show out of their basement.
