The basic work of a Water cooler is to keep the water cool
. These water coolers can be classified in to two groups. One category of cooler is filled by the help of bottled water and the other category is attached directly to the main supply of water. The first category of water coolers has to be either filled manually or a jar of water is placed on top of it. This attracts a lot of dependency as the water jars have to be carried to the spot from the regular suppliers. The latter category is highly convenient. The water cooler which is connected directly to the water pipe is very mostly used.
These water coolers are mostly fixed on the wall. This is absolutely free of any hassles as the supply is continuous. It also requires an electric connection to support the cooling system. The system of this cooler is very hygienic as it continuously passes out the waste and unused water. There are some types of water coolers which are kept on the floor. These require an external source of water supply. The external source of water supply is a jar of water which is usually fixed on top of the cooler. These types of water coolers are used in those countries where cold water is not frequently used for drinking. In most of the water coolers which are fixed on the wall have separate units.
One stores the chilled water and the other stores the room temperature water. In these coolers the water is dispensed through a tap and the water which is acquired from the municipal water supply is treated initially before dispensing. There are some filters which allow direct dispensing of water from the cooler. The water is not treated properly. The water takes some time to attain the freezing point. There are also certain types of water coolers present in the market which also dispenses boiling water along with chilled water. This becomes very useful while making tea or coffee. There are various kinds of models available in the market. The consumers can choose and buy according to their needs.
