Attempting to try a few phrases in Spanish, with a hispanic lady is truly a win-win situation. If she knows Spanish she will understand you and will appreciate your attempts to speak Spanish. It will be a conversation starter and make you stand out. If she does not know any Spanish, she will likely wonder what you said. You can tell her... and yes, a conversation has been started. It is not hard to get a few phrases. Get your favorite pickup lines (sometimes even cheesy ones can work) put them in a translator program and practice the results a few times. It is that simple!

Or fancy:

You can even go cheesy:

(It does not sound nearly as cheesy in Spanish and is good for a laugh)

If beauty was a crime, you would deserve life in prison. Si la belleza fuera delito, yo te hubiera dado cadena perpetua.

Do NOT let a lack of Spanish (or even language skills) keep you from making an attempt!

Practice and learn a few phrases for flirting in Spanish. Ask a friend who speaks the language if you are saying it correctly. When all is said and done though, even if you butcher it, it simply does not matter. Remember it is all about starting a conversation and "standing out" from all the other guys that hit on that girl that night. No matter what you will be memorable.

If you get it wrong, so what? Laugh at yourself and ask the proper pronunciation. Then tell her how you think it is a beautiful language and want to learn more. Before you know it you are having a conversation and she will remember you far more than all the other guys and their lame game.
